As a newborn in Christ, you must know and understand certain things that come with the new life you have received. This will assist to have a good foundation in Christ to build on. In the book of Hebrews 6: 9: “But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.“. There are things that accompany salvation which if we put our hearts to them, will help us walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing and be a true believer in the marketplace.
Now that you are born again, you have become a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17) and you have been translated from the dominion of darkness unto light (Colossians 1:13).
There is a need for every believer to walk in the reality of the new life he has attained by faith in Christ Jesus. The following will help you to indeed walk in the reality of your new life in Christ.
SALVATION IS OF THE SPIRIT
In order that you can walk in the reality of the new life, you must know that it is your spirit that got born again and that it is neither your soul nor body. The death that man died in the beginning that made death passed unto the rest of mankind was Spiritual (Genesis: 3:1-3) that is why the new life is of the Spirit and not of body or soul. Romans 6: 1 – 4.
